Come give it your best effort.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Of course the guides of "beginner, intermediate, advanced" should be taken as rough guides because it all depends on where you are at in your practice. What is advanced for one, may be intermediate for another, etc.; and what is beginner for one may be challenging for another. Come and do what you can. Find your starting place, and then find your next inch.   Remember that 100% effort equals 100% benefit even if you’re not in the full expression of the posture. Instruction is provided to keep your practice safe and effective.

Classes are taught by Martha unless otherwise noted.

MONDAY — HOT yoga

6:00-7:00 pm: This is a set sequence of asanas--Barkan Hot Yoga Level II Five Vinyasa.  It is a challenging practice that will take you to new spaces in your body, and mind. Approximately 50 minutes of vinyasa flow,  followed by approximately 10 minutes of standing postures (eagle, dancing shiva…). Then we make our way to the floor for a few minutes of floor postures, ending with a luscious surrender- to-the-floor savasana.   This class will strengthen your core, increase flexibility of joints, spine mobility, open hips, and in general it will hone your Vajra Dehas -- "diamond hard body".  Modifications are shown throughout. Everyone is encouraged to find their fullest expression without judgment, and then find their next inch. if you want to practice this class, text me (319-330-9336) and you will be accepted if space permits. Maximum is 10. It is high energy and fun. Be welcomed to the group energy.

WEDNESDAY 5:30-6:30: Free Style Yoga. Change it up! Challenging yoga vinyasa taught on -line and in the studio. A nice class to balance out the week and get you through to Saturday class.

Saturday

11:00 am–12:30 pm: Barkan Hot Yoga Level I. NOT HOT HEAT because it’s streamed on-line. If you want on the stream, text me and I’ll add you to the list, or come to the studio and practice.

Fit Beginner Friendly

This is a great class to begin yoga.  Heat and humidity will be gentle but enough to enhance flexibility during the class. Work hard to get hotter! Veteran yogis will also enjoy a solid 90 minute practice.
